Replacing spark plugs with Lada Grant

Oddly enough, but even such a trifle as replacing spark plugs, many owners cannot do on their own. But if you approach this issue more closely, then there is nothing surprising here, since this question is mainly of interest to novice drivers or girls who are not very familiar with car repairs. On Lada Granta, the candles change in the same way as on other models of front-wheel drive models, if we mean 8-valve engines.

In order to replace the spark plugs on the Grant, we need:

• Spark plug wrench 21 mm
• Or a special candle head with a knob
• A set of new candles

So, the first step is to disconnect the high voltage wires from the spark plugs. It is enough to grasp the tip and pull it towards yourself with medium force to pull it off:

Then we unscrew the candles from all four cylinders with a key:

Next, you need to twist the new candles to their original place and put back the high-voltage wires with such an effort that a small click is heard. Be sure to make sure that the numbers that are printed on the wires match the numbers of the cylinders to which they go. Otherwise, you may simply not start the engine.

As you can see, this procedure is very simple to perform and it will take no more than 10 minutes of time. Do not forget to check the candles at least once every 15 km, and replace them if necessary!
