Replacing the brake cylinder of the rear wheel on the Priora
One of the most common problems with the rear brake cylinders on the Lada Priora is the appearance of a brake fluid leak from under the sealing gum. If it is damaged, then it is necessary to replace the cylinder with a new one. The procedure for carrying out this repair is quite simple, and to complete it you will need the following tool:
- wrench for 10, or a ratchet with a head
- split wrench for unscrewing brake pipes
- penetrating liquid
To get to the part we need, the first step is to remove the rear drum, and rear brake pads... When you have coped with this simple task, you can proceed directly to dismantling the cylinder. To do this, you first need to spray all the connections with penetrating grease, both on the bolts and on the brake pipe.
Then, using a split wrench, unscrew the tube:
Then we disconnect it and slightly take it to the side, and fix it in such a way that the liquid does not flow out of it:
Next, you can unscrew the two cylinder mounting bolts:
Then, from the outside, you can easily remove the part, since nothing else holds it:
Now you can reinstall the new brake cylinder in the reverse order. After this procedure, you will most likely need to pump the system, since air has formed in it.
