Replacing the air filter on a VAZ 2105-2107

The air filter of VAZ 2105-2107 carburetor engines must be changed after at least 20 km, but this is according to the official recommendations of Avtovaz. I personally replace all my cars much more often, sometimes even after 000 km.

• Firstly, our roads are pretty dusty and the power system will be heavily polluted for 20 thousand when using one filter.
• Secondly, the cost of the filter element is quite low, so your wallet will not be empty.

On injection engines, the filter is changed a little less often, and the factory recommends doing this once every 30 km, but again, it’s worth doing this procedure a little more often.

So, to carry out this work, you need only one key for 10, it is most convenient to use a head with a knob or ratchet. We unscrew the three nuts securing the air cover:

After that, remove the cover:

Then we take out the old air filter:

And we carefully wipe the inside of the case so that there are no traces of dust and other particles:

And we install a new filter element, after removing the paper packaging from it:

Now we put back the cover and you can continue to operate for several thousand kilometers and not be afraid of contamination of the fuel system of the VAZ 2107-2105
