Replacing the air filter on a VAZ 2107-2105 injector

The air filter on VAZ 2105-2107 injection vehicles has to be changed a little less often than on conventional carburetor engines. But it is imperative to monitor its condition and perform a timely change. First of all, this should be done due to the fact that when dust particles enter the mass air flow sensor, it wears out many times faster, which can lead to its premature replacement. And it costs, as you know, a lot and the price can reach about 3000 rubles.

So, in order to complete this simple procedure, we only need a Phillips screwdriver and a dry rag or napkin:

It is necessary to open the hood of the car and unscrew the 4 bolts, at each corner of the air filter housing, as shown clearly in the photo below:

Then, gently, with medium effort, lift the air cover by hand:

And now you can safely remove the filter from its seat:

Be sure to wipe the inside of the air box with a cloth before installing a new air filter. Then we also put the filter element in place and put the cover back in place, tightening it with bolts. The price for this consumable is low and ranges from 100 to 200 rubles, depending on its type and manufacturer.
