Replacing the rear brake cylinder on Largus
If there is a leak or seizure of the rear brake cylinder on Lada Largus cars, this part must be replaced with a new one. You can do the repair yourself, but for this you need the following tool:
- special wrench for unscrewing the brake pipes by 11 mm
- flat screwdriver
- socket head 10 mm
- ratchet handle or crank
To begin with, it is worth lifting the rear of the car with a jack, after which we remove the brake drum, since it is under it that the cylinder is located.
From the inside, you must first unscrew the brake pipe using a split wrench.
And we take the tube to the side, preferably leading it up a little so that the liquid does not flow out in large quantities. But it is better to play it safe, and substitute a container for draining.
And after that, you can unscrew the two bolts of the rear wheel brake cylinder, as clearly shown in the photo below.
And when both bolts are unscrewed, then from the outside it is necessary to pry the brake cylinder with a flat screwdriver, since it can stick and remove it without a screwdriver can be problematic.
And now you can shoot it without any problem.
We make the replacement in the reverse order, so there should not be any special difficulties. But it is worth noting that after performing this procedure, it is necessary to bleed the brakes, thereby expelling the air from the system. The price of a new cylinder can be about 1000 rubles, although a non-original part can be bought a little cheaper, or you can take the original for disassembly for 500 rubles.
