Replacing the rear shock absorbers with Lada Largus
When knocks appear from the side of the rear suspension, most likely you will have to pay attention to the condition of the suspension shock absorbers, since in fact there is nothing more to knock on Largus from behind. If it turns out that the shock absorbers have already leaked, or have lost their working properties and characteristics over time, then they must be replaced with new ones. To do this, it is desirable to have at hand:
- Penetrating grease
- 18 mm wrench
- 18 mm head
- Crank or ratchet
- Key to hold the strut stem from turning
So, an example in this article will be a Renault Logan car, since the Largus has a completely identical suspension. First of all, when the car is still on its wheels, it is necessary to unscrew the shock absorber rod nut, keeping the rod from turning. All this is done from the side of the passenger compartment, where the rear body glass is located.
After that, remove the top washer and pillow.
Then we raise the rear of the car with a jack and unscrew the lower mounting bolt. It is most convenient to do this with a ratchet, and it is also necessary to first apply a penetrating lubricant.
Then we move the shock absorber to the side, as shown in the photo below:
And completely remove the rack from its place. The end result is shown below.
If the struts are to be replaced, then we replace them with new ones, also replacing the compression stroke buffers (bumpers) and anthers, if they are damaged. The price of new rear suspension shock absorbers for Lada Largus cars ranges from 1200 to 3500 rubles per one part. I think it's not worth explaining once again that the price depends on the type of shock absorber and its production: the original or Taiwan.
