Replacing the rear lights on the VAZ 2107
The main reason why you have to change the glass of the rear lights or the entire assembly is a breakdown during an accident, or as a result of other external damage. You can carry out this repair yourself without much difficulty, you just need to have a few tools at hand, namely:
- Ratchet handle small
- Socket head 8 mm
- Extension cord about 10cm
To get to the attachment points for the rear lights on the VAZ 2107, you need to open the trunk lid of the car. And from the back of the body of the lantern you will see two caps, which are marked in the photo with yellow arrows. They just need to be unscrewed to remove this protective plastic casing.
Then we remove this element by moving it to the side:
If you need to remove the glass separately, then you need to remove the board with the lamps, first bending back the latches, which are marked with arrows below:
After that, the board is removed, since, apart from the latches, nothing else holds it:
Next, we take the key for 8 and unscrew all 4 nuts that attach the lantern to the car body:
This is practically the whole repair. It remains to pull out the lantern on the outside by pulling it to the side (towards you). If the gum has stuck from time to time, then you can gently, without damaging the paintwork, pry it off with a thin flat screwdriver.
As already mentioned, it is the glass that most often changes, but if you need to put a new lamp, then the price for a VAZ 2107 for it is about 650 rubles. Installation takes place in reverse order and will not take more than 5 minutes.
