Is the lock in the car frozen?

locks freezeFor many motorists, especially in the winter season, this advice will be very useful. Surely every motorist faced such a problem in winter, when he went out into the street in the morning and approached his car, he could not open the door. You do not need to be a fortuneteller to understand that the reason for this is the freezing of door locks. But what to do so that the locks do not freeze, especially if there is no special anti-freeze agent in the trunk.

The solution

In this case, a simple folk remedy for motorists will help us, which every seasoned car owner knows. Instead of any expensive products that are sold in stores and car markets, you can use ordinary brake fluid.

It is enough to draw the liquid into the syringe, and with the help of a needle inject a certain amount of brake fluid into each door lock of the car, and do not forget about the trunk lock too. This method is proven, and many motorists use it, it is advisable to repeat the procedure at least with an interval of several days, it will be enough to do this a couple of times a week. Here is some useful advice on how to keep the locks from freezing. It will be especially useful for those who do not have a central lock in the car, and constantly have to open the doors with a regular key. If you suddenly forgot to lubricate the locks with brake fluid, and in the morning they froze, in no case should you use a lighter or matches, since the paint near the locks can darken or turn yellow from fire, and it will be very difficult to fix this defect later. Better go up to the apartment or house, and take hot water into the syringe as well, and use the same method to warm the locks.

And instead of hot water, I use the usual triple cologne. In the fall, I will introduce a small portion of cologne a couple of times and there are no problems until spring.
