Vacation trip abroad. You should know about it

Vacation trip abroad. You should know about it People who are planning to travel abroad this year, for example on the occasion of the ongoing winter break, should be aware of the traffic rules of the countries they are visiting. Especially in winter, it is worth paying attention to the appropriate equipment of the car and maintaining a speed adapted to difficult road conditions.

New vignettes are in effect in Slovakia. – You no longer stick a vignette on the windshield, you buy only an electronic vignette. Whoever does not do this risks getting a fine, because license plates are read electronically, explains Lukasz Zboralski from the portal BRD24.pl.

When traveling in the Czech Republic, you should pay attention to vignettes and a speedometer. In addition to high fines, the driver may be banned from entering the country for one year. However, in Austria, on-board cameras cannot be used, and Italian law enforcement officers accept payment only in cash.

What can be said about the equipment of the car? – The Vienna Convention on Road Traffic is in force, which applies to every driver who has a car registered in his country, in terms of what equipment should be in the vehicle. In this case, we are not punished if the equipment does not meet the requirements of the country we are going to, explains Lukasz Bernatowicz, a lawyer. In Poland, it is enough to have a warning triangle and a fire extinguisher.

If the foreign police want to punish the driver with a fine for not having additional car accessories, he should contact the Polish consulate in that country.
