By using multi-point distributed interlocking to prevent unauthorized interception or cloning of the engine start signal, the system has a very high level of efficiency.

From the driver's point of view, the device is maintenance-free. The system does not distract the attention of the vehicle user at all, does not require additional actions to enable or disable it. In the event of theft or loss of keys, the driver is identified using an authorization card using Bluetooth Low Energy technology.

At the recommendation of the police, new Toyota vehicles ordered after October 1, 2021 - Yaris, Yaris Cross, Corolla, Toyota C-HR, Camry, Prius, Prius Plug-in, RAV4, Highlander and Land Cruiser models - received the innovative SelectaDNA anti-theft system. making the car unattractive for theft due to the high risk of detection even after disassembly.

SelectaDNA is a system for forensic marking of vehicles and individual parts using synthetic DNA technology with microtracers. It allows vehicles to be identified using simple police tricks. It is important to note that in the SelectaDNA system, parts and components are marked and marked permanently, making them useless to criminals.

SelectaDNA's mission is to deter potential theft culprits. The vehicle is clearly and permanently marked with two large warning stickers and a special marking code on the windows. There are plates with the same code inside the car. It is almost impossible to remove markings from car components. They are resistant to mechanical removal and temperature, and the manufacturer guarantees the durability of data on marked elements for at least 5 years. The unique protection worth PLN 1000 is used in new Toyota cars free of charge.

Toyota has also beefed up the security of aluminum rims in new vehicles, potentially one of the most vulnerable to auto parts theft. All new Toyota vehicles that come with aluminum wheels as standard get chrome anti-theft nuts. They are of high strength and quality, and the unique key design makes it almost impossible to break the security.
