Crankcase protection ordered to live long

A couple of weeks ago, when there were heavy snowfalls on the street, I often had to get out to the dacha, which is located several tens of kilometers from the city. In winter, the roads are not cleaned there, only sometimes off-road vehicles or tractors make ruts and at least somehow you can get to your destination by car.

On that day, when it was necessary to leave the city, it was just poured snow on the street, and I had to make my way on my Grant through the snowdrifts and quite often the crankcase protection clings to the snow dunes. And in one area it turned out that I got into a very deep rut, and under the snow there was a decent embankment of earth, and it was just it that came to my defense.

As a result, she ordered to live a long time, the distant attachments flew off and it was necessary to weld them up so that everything fell into place. It's good that I had the necessary set of tools with me, thanks to which I quickly unscrewed everything and threw the protection into the trunk.

A couple of days later I went to see my friends at a car service, they had welding there, and they quickly repaired everything for me, taking a purely symbolic fee from me. After this incident, I prefer not to drive in such snowy places anymore and it is better to wait until the road is cleaned than to constantly fiddle with the car in the cold.
