A woman attacked a Tesla Model 3 in Florida, believing that the owner of the car was stealing electricity

One of the challenges of electric vehicles is the small number of charging stations. Apps like PlugShare allow other drivers to find charging stations provided by other owners, but a woman lashed out at the Model 3 owner, believing he was stealing electricity from her home.

Conflict between drivers is a common thing. People let their anger get the best of them when faced with difficult situations on the road. Recently, a conflict involving a car took a very unusual turn when a woman attacked a car at an electric car charging station. She mistakenly thought Tesla's owner had stolen the electricity.

A Tesla Model 3 owner used a home electric car charger included with the PlugShare app.

The road rage incident at an electric vehicle charging station occurred on an undisclosed date in Coral Springs, Florida. A Tesla Model 3 owner named Brent posted a video of the incident to the Wham Baam Dangercam YouTube channel. Brent charged his Model 3 with an electric vehicle charger listed as "free" on the PlugShare app.

With PlugShare, EV owners can find home charging stations that people lend to other EV owners. Before charging his Tesla Model 3, Brent received permission from the owner of the charging station to use it. However, after two hours of charging his Model 3, he received an alert on his Tesla app that his car's alarm had gone off.

The owner of the charging station never told his wife that he allowed the owner of the Model 3 to use it.

Brent then returned to his Tesla Model 3 to find the woman violently punching her car. As Brent found out, the woman is the wife of the owner of the charging station. Apparently, she did not know that her husband allowed Brent to use the charging station.

Fortunately, Model 3 was not damaged. It is not known how the woman reacted after she was no doubt informed that the Model 3 owner had received permission from her husband to use the charging station.

What is the PlugShare app and how to use it

As noted above, the PlugShare app allows users to find home electric vehicle charging stations. Provides a detailed map of charging networks in North America, Europe and other regions of the world. In the PlugShare app, EV owners provide their charging stations to other EV owners, sometimes for a fee and sometimes for free. It is available on Android and iOS devices, as well as on the web.

To use the PlugShare app, EV owners must create an account. They can pay any download fees directly in the PlugShare app. The application does not require membership fees or obligations.

Notable features of the PlugShare app include photos and reviews of electric vehicle charging stations, real-time availability, filters to find a charger compatible with your electric vehicle, and "charging station registration". In addition, the PlugShare app has a trip planner to find chargers on the route, as well as notifications to find nearby chargers. In addition, the PlugShare app is the official EV charging station finder for Nissan MyFord Mobile Apps, HondaLink Apps and EZ-Charge.
