However, washing the car in the cold should not be. In such conditions, this can lead to freezing of locks and seals, so after a dozen or two minutes of inactivity, we may have an unpleasant surprise in the form of a problem with getting into the cabin. In addition, during washing, moisture always gets into the car interior, which quickly freezes on the inner surfaces of the glass in sub-zero temperatures.
However, if we have to wash the car in such conditions, then let's do it, for example, before a long journey, and then the car will be dried while driving, and the heat from the passenger compartment will accelerate the evaporation of water from the recesses. body.
In addition, contact of matte paint at very low temperatures with warm water at a car wash can, in extreme cases, lead to cracking.
New car owners or those who have just picked up a car after a paint job has been repaired should not wash their car for at least a month until the paint is completely cured.
After washing the car, if the conditions permit (there will be no snow or rain), it is good to cover the car body with wax polishing paste, which will create a protective layer on its surface from water and dirt.
You should wait for the spring washing of the engine compartment. The electronic components of the drive do not like moisture, which evaporates more slowly in winter weather. It is best to entrust this operation to an authorized service station, where mechanics know best which places under the engine hood should be handled with particular care.
