Rights C, C1, CE, C1E, D, DE, D1, D1E, Tm, Tb oblige the driver to use a hearing aid that enhances hearing to an acceptable level. If a person is deaf and dumb, then a speech processor is also needed. Especially if such a driver is driving a route public transport.

That is why people with severe hearing impairments must place such a designation on their vehicle. There is no special sign on the car "Deaf-mute". The same is used as for the deaf without speech impairment. It is forbidden to place this symbol on a car if the driver does not have medical documents confirming deafness.

Why is it necessary to stick the designation Deaf driver?

This symbol does not give priority over other road users. Such a designation only warns other road users to be more careful. But if the sign on a deaf-mute car is supplemented with the designation "Disabled" (a yellow square with a black image of a person in a wheelchair), then the driver receives a number of benefits:
