1240 km on one fuel tank in Suzuki Swift

To demonstrate the economy of the Swift DDiS, Suzuki decided to organize a special "marathon" in New Zealand. The Japanese car had to go from Auckland to Wellington and back (1300 km) on one fuel tank.

Unfortunately, the goal was not achieved. Swift stopped on the way back about 60 km from Auckland. Nevertheless, the result achieved by this car was impressive. Using 42 liters of diesel fuel, Swift DDiS drove 1240 kilometers. This means that the average fuel consumption for this trip was 3,36 l/100 km.

This is a better result than the 3,6 l / 100 km declared by the manufacturer. All tests were carried out on roads open to traffic. Recall that under the hood of this model is a 1.3-liter Fiat MultiJet unit with a capacity of 75 hp.
