20 Hollywood Stallions Who Drive Total Duds

Most of us dream of owning a stunning car that will grab attention wherever we go. However, usually we can only afford something practical, whose insurance premium will not make our bank account beg for mercy. However, Hollywood celebrities have no such obstacle. Thanks to their bloated bank accounts, these people are famous, live in mansions and own the latest and fastest cars. If you see someone starring in a movie on Netflix or at your local cinema, they're probably driving a fancy Lamborghini.

So it's natural to assume that Hollywood studs - you know, those beauties that you would like to become or be with them - own cars that reflect their stunning looks. And you would be… wrong. Some studs have chosen to be the epitome of "opposite attraction": despite having money, they often drive old, cheap, and sometimes ugly cars. Even if they have other cars in their garage that cost a small fortune, they still prefer those cheap ones that just about anyone with a job can afford.

Some of them buy these cars for sentimental reasons - maybe it was their first car in their lives or their last before they became famous - while others buy them to stay in the background while driving around the city. Others still drive these cars to show they care about the environment. Whatever their reasons, these spikes are just like regular people when it comes to choosing a car. From Christian Bale to Clint Eastwood to Colin Farrell and more, here are 20 Hollywood studs who drive complete failures.

20 Leonardo DiCaprio - Toyota Prius

Via People Magazine South Africa

Since Titanic and Romeo + Juliet, Leonardo DiCaprio has been one of Hollywood's most consistent heartthrobs. He's starred in a ton of movies, and whether he's playing a hero or a villain, he's always someone the ladies are rooting for (and it doesn't hurt that he's won a ton of awards along the way). So, someone with that kind of star power obviously owns some of the most amazing cars in the world, right?

No.

DiCaprio drives a Toyota Prius, which is fueled by his desire to have something eco-friendly. He loves the car's economy so much that, according to Top Speed, he bought a Prius for his father, mother and stepmother.

19 Chris Hemsworth — Acura MDX

Via Net Worth Celebrities

The actor, widely known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is one of the most famous celebrities in Hollywood. But his car? Not so much.

The superstar drives an Acura MDX. This black, brick-shaped SUV is what ordinary people aspire to...when they don't have a high bar. The car is just boring and not worthy of Hemsworth. But Akura gave it to him while promoting Thor.

The point is, however, that Hemsworth could have demanded something much better. The Acura NSX is a pretty decent sports car and it suits him better. MDX just feels like a PR case that wasn't well thought out.

18 Justin Timberlake - Volkswagen Jetta

Justin Timberlake is not your everyday stud. He made a name for himself with NSYNC before pursuing a solo career and establishing himself as one of the best musicians of his generation. Then he started acting and reached another level of fame.

However, the actor who brought back the sexy has one thing that is not so sexy. He drives a Volkswagen Jetta. The Jetta isn't that bad; it's practical, simple, inexpensive and... nothing more. This $16,000 car will fit the average person; not for the award-winning, culture-defining Hollywood stud. Sure, he has a garage full of exotic, eye-catching cars, but the Jetta is his everyday car.

17 Zac Efron — Oldsmobile Alero

Zac Efron rose to fame with High School Musical, and his role made him a household name at a fairly young age. Perhaps he got too attached to the role of an ordinary teenager that he decided to show it through his car. Either that or he has bad taste.

He has an Oldsmobile Alero; one of the most boring cars in the world. But he probably cherishes it because his grandfather gave it to him years ago. However, according to Grunge, his grandfather also gave him a Delorean and a 1965 Mustang. So the young star probably has a sentimental reason to keep this Oldsmobile around.

16 Christian Bale — Toyota Tacoma

Christian Bale is not just Batman; he is also known for undergoing incredible body transformations for his film roles. He went from thin to well-built and even chubby. He is someone you know, he will give everything when he acts.

But when it comes to his taste in cars, that's another matter entirely. Despite the luxurious cars he has driven in roles such as Batman, his real car is a simple Toyota Tacoma. He has always been a reserved person, preferring a simple life to all the glitz and glamor of most Hollywood celebrities. So, this car matches its low profile perfectly.

15 Colin Farrell – Ford Bronco

Via RNR Automotive Blog

Colin Farrell is an actor who has played numerous roles since his critical acclaim in Phone Booth. He is a handsome, recognizable and consistently stellar actor.

But his car is not impressive. The Ford Bronco costs $11,000, which is even cheaper than the Smart. But the actor doesn't seem to mind as he's been spotted wearing it all over Hollywood. The car is an oversized mess and even for ordinary people it is difficult to sell; so production stopped there. Ford Broncos were produced between 1966 and 1996, but they may be making a comeback soon.

14 Daniel Radcliffe - Fiat Punto

The Harry Potter star became world famous when he was still quite young. After he was done with films, he didn't have to work another day in his life. Thus, he avoided blockbusters and instead took on roles in relatively minor films such as The Horns and Victor Frankenstein.

He bought himself a Fiat Grande Punto for his 18th birthday when it was already worth 23 million British pounds. Even if he wanted to be practical, he could have opted for something like a Range Rover instead of this Punto. After all, he wanted to drive around the country unnoticed, so this car will probably do it.

13 Justin Bieber - "Smart Machine"

Justin Bieber is one of the most controversial musicians of our time, but the one thing you can't deny him is his talent. He is good at what he does and he has no shame.

But when it comes to cars, he really needs to improve his standards. He has a Smart Car, a small, affordable, practical and modest car. In short, not the right car for a guy who sells out almost all of his gigs. For a $250+ million guy, it just doesn't make sense to buy a $14,000 car without any modifications or upgrades.

12 George Clooney - Tango T600

Through top speed

Ever since George Clooney burst onto the television scene with ER, he has consistently been ranked as one of the most handsome men in the world. He is always the highlight of any TV show or movie he stars in. But when you look at his car, you wonder if he has a taste for ugly things.

The Tango 1600 is an incredibly narrow e-car; your passenger should sit behind you, not next to you. It's also fairly heavy, at over 3,000 pounds (1,000 of which are batteries alone). If Clooney wanted an electric car, he should have chosen Tesla; it's just as practical, and looks a million times better.

11 Mel Gibson - Toyota Cressida

Mel Gibson is one of the most controversial actors (and directors) of our time. After starring in the iconic Mad Max, the classic Lethal Weapon and the star-studded Braveheart, he's been embroiled in controversy after controversy, from racist slurs to complete jerk off.

We can say that the controversy touched on his passion for cars. He was spotted driving an old Toyota Cressina, a rare, short-lived and frankly unimpressive car. However, he has not been seen in the car since, so he may have realized that he was traveling in a piece of junk, although he could feel much better.

10 Ludacris - Acura Legend

As Chris "Ludacris" Bridges transitioned from rapper to action star (especially the Fast & Furious franchise), he faced some of the fastest cars the world has ever seen. Yet he still drives his ancient 1993 Acura Legend.

He got it before he became famous, so there's some sentimental value in it that we can understand. But he also calls it his dream car, which is why he's driven it for hundreds of thousands of miles. It was even restored for him by Acura themselves. However, if you look at it objectively, the 1993 Acura Legend is a total flop.

9 Clint Eastwood Typhoon GMC

Clint Eastwood is an undisputed Hollywood legend, with classics ranging from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly to Dirty Harry, Million Dollar Baby and more. He has also aged quite well, maintaining his good looks over the years.

With his grizzled looks and action star status, you'd expect him to drive a muscle car or a classic like a Rolls Royce. But he doesn't. Instead, he drives a GMC Typhoon. When it came out in 1992, it was pretty fast for a truck, going from 0 to 60 in 5.6 seconds. However, by today's standards, this is just an average. There are faster, more powerful and beautiful SUVs.

8 Tom Hanks - Fiat 126

For nearly three decades, Tom Hanks has been one of the most recognizable names in Hollywood. Most of his films have been hits with critics and audiences alike, and he currently has a net worth of around $350 million. So you naturally expect him to drive something dizzying.

This Fiat is not the same. Made in 1974, it was restored and donated to Hanks by the Polish city back in 2017. It's a tiny car about the size of the original Austin Mini, but with a rear engine. According to The Drive, this eccentric was nicknamed "Maluch", which means "small" in Polish. Despite being a gift, Hanks must keep it in his garage and not take it out unless absolutely necessary.

7 Jeremy Piven - Ford Bronco

Via Motor Control

When Jeremy Piven starred in a career-changing role on the HBO series Entourage, his character Ari Gold was determined to get the best things in life he could. However, his real self could not be more different.

Piven drives an ancient Ford Bronco. Maybe not much to look at, but not too bad. The car is a classic of the 60s, and Piven restored and repaired it. It's far from the level of a classic sports car, but it's not bad for a car that shouldn't be anywhere on the radar of a well-known stud with decent taste like Piven.

6 David Spade - Buick Grand National

Via Top Ten News

David Spade is a pretty good actor, although he's made some dubious films over the years (his recent ones stand out in particular). However, he has always been a nice guy and even a bit of a stallion.

His Buick Grand National is one of the toughest cars to find these days, especially in good condition. Unfortunately, it is classified as old. Despite Spade spending over $7,000 on it, the 1987 Grand National still looks shabby.

It would be a decent restoration job if he got a real vintage car, but instead he got a car that most people can walk past without even looking at it.

5 Will.I.Am – Custom Delorean

Via Edzuztube (YouTube)

Will.I.Am is a great artist with a lot of catchy hits. And he is also a real geek who loves films of the 80s.

However, his taste in cars is questionable. He wanted his Delorean to resemble the classic car from Back to the Future, so he made it custom. However, after $700,000, the result was far from brilliant. In fact, it may be the most expensive unexploded car in motoring history. Looks like a cheap imitation of a classic movie badge.

According to Superfly Autos, Will.I.Am wanted the car to reflect what the Delorean might look like in 2020. One look at this car and you can tell it's clearly a failure.

4 Dennis Rodman - H1 Hummer

Dennis Rodman is one of the most colorful celebrities both during and after his brilliant basketball career. That's why he's one of the few people in the world who can get away with such a complex machine.

Rodman adorned his 1996 Hummer H1 with numerous drawings of near-naked women. This is an eyesore and definitely unsafe for work; or safe for any minor who might see him traveling down their street. Rodman turned a perfectly normal Hummer into something ugly, and the fact that he thought it was a good idea will always remain a mystery to us.

3 Ryan Gosling - Toyota Prius

The La La Land star is a stallion who knows how to choose movies. During his career, he has starred in such classic films as Drive, La La Land, First Man, and even the melodramatic The Notebook. But his passion for cars has nothing to do with finding great scripts (or having a brilliant agent).

Like DiCaprio, Ryan Gosling drives a Toyota Prius. But unlike many actors who own a Prius as the only practical car in their exotic and sports car garage, Gosling only owns this Prius. Well, that and a few bikes when he's looking for an adrenaline rush.

2 Matt LeBlanc - Ford Focus

Via Motor Control

Matt LeBlanc became a legend thanks to his lovable role as Joey on Friends. He then went on Top Gear as a guest and set the celebrity record with the fastest lap before joining the show as the official host. He even befriends Ken Block. So he's no stranger to incredibly fast cars and exotic rides.

Then you see his car: Ford Focus RS. It's not too bad, with decent performance from the 350bhp engine. But we're talking about Matt LeBlanc. He can afford a car ten times the price of an RS and still feel innocent. For someone of his level, the Focus is useless nonsense that does not make much sense.

1  T-Pain – Cadillac Hearse

T-Pain is a singer with a string of hits over the years. Thanks to the wealth that fame brought him, he accumulated more than 20 cars. But when you have so many cars, you are bound to have a few stinkers. And boy, he's got one!

The rapper's most notable car is a 1991 Cadillac hearse. Yes, it's a hearse! He tried to lessen the gloom of the car by painting it orange, but that only makes it stand out, and not in a good way.

The orange T-Pain hearse comes with all the bells and whistles, including a blue fiberglass coffin to match the blue top. Despite his best efforts, this car is a stinking piece of junk.
