2023 Acura Integra enters production and will be built in Ohio

The first fifth-generation Integras are now rolling off the assembly line just in time for June. The SUV is the first Integra made in the USA.

With every day the world gets closer to the return of the car, production has now begun at Honda's Marysville, Ohio plant. The cars, due to be released now, will start hitting dealerships in early June, and pre-orders are already heavily outweighed in favor of a six-speed manual, although exact production figures have yet to be announced. However, regardless of the final results, we will finally see the new Integra on the streets soon.

First Integra built in the USA.

The fifth generation Integra has already been a milestone since the first model rolled off the production line, becoming the first American-made Integra in nameplate history. While Acura has built most of its vehicles in the United States in recent years, including the NSX halo car, the Integra has been built exclusively at the Honda Suzuka plant for all of its previous generations, starting with Acura and the Integra's 1986 launch.

This includes fourth-generation cars that were sold in Japan as the Integra but were known as the RSX in the US; Acura considers it part of the Integra line despite its American name. It was also built in Suzuka.

The latest Integra production in Marysville also means that all five current Acura models are made in America.

The 2023 Integra will be closely related to the Honda Civic Si.

While the driving experience isn't over yet (I mean, Acura just built the first car), the Integra is likely to look like its seven-factory Honda Civic Si sibling. world. including the Honda plant in Indiana.

The 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine under the hood of both cars is assembled at Honda's Anna, Ohio engine plant, meaning the Integra is as native to Ohio as any other Japanese car.
