The 2023 Acura Integra will also come with a manual transmission.

Acura not only returns to the legendary, but also with a 6-speed manual transmission. It's getting harder to find a car with a manual transmission lately, and that's what buyers are looking for, especially in sports cars.

Japanese luxury car manufacturer Acura used Monterey Car Week to announce the return of the legendary Integra.

Acura not only brings back the legendary model, it is also one of the oldest, but that's not all. The 2023 Acura Integra will have a 6-speed manual transmission.

In a short video bully. that the manufacturer releases, you can see how the driver shifts gears in each generation of Integra. The scene starts with a 1986 Integra in first gear and ends with what must be the new model shifting into sixth.

“Integra returns,” “I am pleased to announce that the Integra is returning to the Acura lineup with the same spirit of driving pleasure and DNA of the original, in line with our commitment to precision in every way: design, performance and overall driving experience.

The Integra is an iconic nameplate, one of two models in the original product line when Acura launched on March 27, 1986. This model will now return to the high-performance brand's product portfolio as a new premium compact entry.

Acura director John Ikeda told Motortrend that the new Integra will be the brand's base model but will not replace the ILX. Although both models belong to the compact segment and are derived from the Civic, the Integra will have a sportier look and a much more passionate approach.

The Acura Integra will be introduced during 2022 as a 2023 model once the ILX comes to an end. Once on the market, it will become a Japanese alternative to the Audi A3 Sedan, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe and Mercedes-Benz CLA.
