5 electric vehicles with the longest range for 2022

For a long time, electric vehicles were sacrificed due to the fact that they lacked the autonomy to travel long distances with their batteries charged. However, this is a thing of the past, now there are cars with a large range that can go far on a single charge, and here we will tell you which of them are the main ones.

One of the big things electric car critics like to point out is that they can't go far. However, this quickly falls apart as an argument. In addition, as charging speeds continue to rise, electric vehicles are rapidly eliminating their shortcomings. While not perfect yet, the numbers are getting quite impressive. Here are the five longest range EVs you can buy in 2022.

1. Clear air

The Lucid Air is currently the only mass-produced EV to hit the 500-mile mark on a full charge. It's definitely not a compromise. However, its payload range is not the only high number listed in its specifications.

The Air has a minimum charging range of 471 miles and a maximum charging range of an impressive 520 miles. That's pretty impressive for a car that also produces between 800 and 1,080 horsepower. Prices for Lucid Air range from $139,000 to $169,000.

2. Tesla Model S

Obviously, it is impossible to make a list of electric vehicles that do not have Tesla. That is, unless this list is about electric vehicles, not Tesla.

While not as crazy as the Lucid Air with a range of over 500 miles, the proven old Tesla Model S has a maximum range of 405 miles and a minimum of 396. They are available with power ranging from 670 to 1,020 horsepower. They're also a little more affordable than the Lucid Air. The Model S price range ranges from $99,490 to $134,490.

3. Audi E-Tron S

The Audi E-Tron S has an impressive display for the iconic four rings. Available with 496 horsepower and all the luxurious interior details you'd expect to find in an Audi, the E-Tron S goes from 344 to 372 miles on a single charge. That's a pretty substantial jump from the 218-mile range of its cheaper E-Tron Sportback counterpart.

4. Tesla Model 3

It's no surprise that Tesla makes this list more than once. No one can argue that the electric vehicle giant isn't good at what it does. This is also reflected in the Model 3 as it is by far the best-selling electric car in the world.

With power ranging from 201 to 450 horsepower, the Model 3 lineup offers 272 to 358 miles on a single charge. Of course, the Model 3's real selling point is the price. The Tesla Model 46,490 starts at just $58,990 and is the most affordable electric car to offer that range.

5. Mercedes-Benz EQS

The long-awaited Mercedes EQS 450 has between 329 and 516 horsepower. Like an Audi, it also has all the bells and whistles you might suspect from Mercedes-Benz's sleek and luxurious standards.

The EQS 450 offers 340 to 350 miles of range on a full charge. However, like the Lucid and Model S, it is at a price point that is out of reach for most. The EQS 450 starts at $102,310 and goes up to $119,110.
