What to do if a tire explodes while driving
Immediately after the tire bursts, try not to panic. It may seem counterintuitive, but try to resist the urge to slam on the brakes or readjust the steering.

However, malfunctions can occur even if you drive carefully and your vehicle is up to date with all its services. Tires are an element that is always exposed to a lot of things on the street, potholes, bumps and more. They can puncture and explode while driving.
If you hear a loud bang coming from one of your tires while driving, one of them may have blown. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), this can cause your vehicle to lose control.
What causes a tire to explode?
, many emissions are caused by flat tires. When the air pressure in the tire is too low, the tire can flex to the limit, overheat, and cause the rubber to lose grip on the tire's inner layer and steel cord reinforcement.
Car and Driver says tire blowouts are more common when you're driving on the highway at high speeds. When driving with frequent stops, the chances are less because the tire rotates slowly and does not heat up as much, although at lower speeds it is still possible to burst.
What to do if your tire bursts while driving?
1.- First of all, do not lose your cool.
2.- Do not slow down. If you brake, you could lock up your wheels and lose control completely.
3. Accelerate slightly and stay as straight as possible.
4.- Slow down by carefully removing your foot from the accelerator pedal.
5.- Turn on the indicators.
6.- Pull back and stop when it is safe to do so.
7.- Change the tire if you have the tool and spare tire. If you can't make changes, call a tow truck to help you or take you to a vulcanizer.
