AHBA - Automatic High Beam Assist

An automatic high beam assist headlight system that detects approaching light from other vehicle headlights and switches between high and low beam until the light source is out of range.

Unlike traditional systems that simply switch between low and high beam, the new system is fully adaptable, adjusting the light output according to prevailing traffic situations.

Take for example the low beam range, which is typically around 65 meters. With the new system, vehicles in front are automatically recognized and the headlights are continuously adjusted so that the light beam does not interfere with oncoming vehicles. As a result, the dipped beam radius can be increased to a maximum of 300 meters without any dazzling effect on other vehicles.
