Aprilia Pegasus 650 Road

And the Pegaso 650 Strada must have been very diligent in a past life. If we are not mistaken, in Hinduism it sounds like this: if you are disobedient, you turn into something bad, if you are good, you turn into something better. The new Strada is definitely a good bike, we felt it from the first time we met. Formally, the Italians have outdone themselves again. Stradi's unusual mask has left such a strong mark that we simply cannot talk about a lack of ideas or a bad taste for aesthetics.

This is definitely one of the freshest bikes at the moment, and most importantly, it doesn't feel like we've seen anything on it before. Production is also above average, one might even say, next to the best Japanese manufacturers, and sometimes (we dare say) even surpasses them. In this price range, with prices ranging from 1 to 5 million tolar, even the Japanese have succumbed to the cheap labor in China, which affects both components and manufacturing. Some noble details can only be dreamed of now.

Pegaso 650 Strada differs from each other in small and large details. Every time the engine is started, the driver is greeted by transparent, neat and helpful signposts with strada 650 lettering and winding road. Attention to nothing! Foodies are grief-stricken at the sight of the spacious Brembo front brake disc (320 mm) and the blue painted alloy wheels. Nothing to lose here, these are some of the best brakes we've tested on similar bikes recently!

Not to be overlooked is the large space under the seat where some tools and a rainsuit are lying, and we were even more pleased with the drawer (unlocked by pressing a button on the steering wheel) on the fuel tank, where we could squeeze out documents, wallet, etc. travel and similar trifles. For the motorcyclist (the Pegaso 650 Strada is also suitable for delicate ladies' hands thanks to its friendly handling) who wants something new, they were offered just the right chocolate topping to satisfy the sweetness of the nobility of this brand, which has been crowned with several world titles.

How does Strada get on the road?

The fact that it is powered by the Yamaha engine we know from the XT660 can only mean something good. Engine power (50 hp) is evenly distributed over the entire rev range, which makes the ride lively and undemanding. The engine is flexible enough, and the maximum power will not leave disappointed anyone who wants the pleasure of a supermoto on the bends of mountain serpentines. The Aprilia in particular is also extremely well balanced, and the little ride is particularly surprising. This gives her the agility of a scooter in the city crowd, which is just another mark on the list of things we love.

All we missed about the Pegaso 650 Strada was a slightly higher seat (otherwise available on the accessories list). When we first finished the engine, we thought an extra sixth gear wouldn't hurt, but later we realized that 170 km / h is quite enough for a bike with not very good wind protection (the old Pegaso has much more), and the engine still loved spin. Since this is not a touring enduro (once again, this bike is not a Pegasus heir, but a brand new chapter), the Strada's 100 km/h ride is the most beautiful there, and thanks to good aerodynamics, we were easily kept upright up to 140 km. / h

For 1.659.900 Tolar, this is a damn good bike that doesn't shy away from great looks and usability. Yes, even driving in the back seat can be enjoyable.
