The latest scooter from Aprilia, the successor to the successful Leonard, saved my skin at least twice. The first time I had to travel from the capital to the capital of Gorenjska with a huge bag of motorcycle equipment.

In the editorial garage, there were Sportscity and Hop, a helmet on the head, a bag between the legs (the scooter has a flat bottom!), And feet on the pedals for the passenger, and I was already competing in acceleration from the intersection with the driver of the yellow GSXR. indeed, we were together again at the next traffic light.

Secondly, it was necessary to get to Umag, where the day before, friends had already begun to celebrate the first of May. I had a choice of car, hitchhiker and scooter and, you guessed it, I chose the latter.

A three cubic meter four-stroke engine with electronic fuel injection, which consumes four liters of fuel per hundred kilometers, accelerates a two-wheeled car to 130 km / h and with a cruising speed of 110 to 120, which is slightly higher. on the highway and a little bit on the highway baked potatoes with rosemary and grilled delicacies. Not to mention the Sunday return, when there was a convoy at least ten kilometers long in front of the border - you would think that I got home faster than the others in the car.

The above can apply to any maxi scooter, so a few words about the Sportcity: it looks good, but, unfortunately, in some places it has inadvertent contact with plastic parts. The seat deserves a clean A because of its size and rigidity, and the handlebars are at the right height so taller users have plenty of knee room.

Although the scooter is roomy for two, its dimensions are not too large, so it feels like a fish in water in the city. Thanks to its large wheels, it also behaves very well on the open road, where it will only let you know that you are not sitting on the bike when taking long corners quickly.

The only major complaint is the size of both drawers, as you can barely squeeze your wallet into the one in front of your feet, and only an open “jet” helmet goes under the seat. Unfortunately, space is stolen by 15-inch wheels and a large generator, so you have to think about a suitcase. The bracket for it is installed as standard!

What about the price? It's not small, but if you look at the price lists of European and Japanese products, Aprilia is even cheaper than comparable competitors. Think.
