Aprilia Tuono V4 1100

Tuono is Aprilia's name, which means brutality, uncompromisingness and, above all, thunder when the spiral sports engine comes out of the exhaust. The two-cylinder engine hasn't been used in an Aprilia roadster for some time, a role taken over by a four-cylinder V-cylinder engine, which is really just a more civilian version of the engine otherwise built into the RSV V4 supersport. , with whom they have successfully raced and won world titles for the past four years. The new engine, which has been enlarged to 1.077 cubic centimeters, is now capable of developing a bold 175 "horsepower" at 11 rpm and up to 121 Newton meters of torque at XNUMX rpm.

With a dry weight of 184 kilograms and a shorter gearbox that also features an ignition switch, which is the practice of racing bikes, the result is clear: adrenaline, acceleration and fantasy at the sound of the V4 engine as it accelerates. and rushes from one turn to another. Powerful brakes with radially mounted brake calipers, a sporty and, of course, adjustable suspension, in harmony with the rigid aluminum frame and swingarm borrowed from the RSV4, deliver pleasure that pulls you into the sporty throttle. With state-of-the-art electronics supporting power, suspension and braking performance, the Tuono adapts extremely quickly to both your driving style and the terrain you are driving.

After a morning race with the RSV4 at the Misano track, I really didn't think anything else could put me in such a good mood that day to open the throttle to the full on the track, but I was wrong. The Tuono is everything you need for an impeccably beautiful and dynamic ride, literally, for a trip for two, for touring - but it also stands absolutely firmly on wheels on racing asphalt. That's why it's an extremely useful and versatile bike. The dual-light pointed grille provides wind protection even to the point where there is no need to lean towards the supermoto's flat handlebars at speeds up to 130 kilometers per hour, allowing for an upright seating position with more control over the motorcycle. A very important key to this versatility is also the APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) electronic system, which contains functions to help novice drivers or the most experienced drivers: the ATC rear wheel slip control system can be adjusted while driving (eight levels).

AWC is a three-stage rear wheel lift control system that delivers maximum acceleration without the worry of being thrown on your back. Aprilia released the Tuono in RR (base) and Factory versions, which (updated) boast expensive Öhlins suspension and traditionally have an exterior that, in Factory body, mimics factory WSBK race cars. Of course, we leave the choice between RR and Factory up to you, but the fact is that the Tuono V4 11000 RR is already in its basic version an exceptional motorcycle, full of technical innovations with excellent versatility and suitable for everyday riding and sporting events. at the hippodrome.
