But you are wrong if you think I will criticize this in the Audi A6 2.0 TDI. Personally, this function even came in handy, since I went with it on a long trip across the border and, thanks to the favorable fuel consumption of 6 liters per hundred kilometers, drove about 9 kilometers without the need to refuel during breaks. However, I criticize the fact that a driver who wants to make the most of the available volume of the fuel tank has to fill it very slowly and for a long time.

In the beginning, the system swallows the refueled fuel well, but at the end you should slowly spit out a good 20 liters of fuel through the pipe, as the tank system of the tank only accepts it drop by drop. At the same time, given the charging delay to the maximum, I strongly advise you to choose pumps where there is little traffic, because the drivers who will queue up behind you will definitely not be impressed by your persistence.

On the way abroad, I also thoroughly tested the operation of the excellent navigation system, which, by the way, will make your wallet easier for the fat 878 thousand Slovenian thousand. The route to the selected destination is calculated very quickly, the warning of a change in direction is repeated, always in a timely and logical manner.

However, if, despite the excellent guidance, you miss the suggested route or intentionally ignore it, the system will very quickly and immediately suggest all available legally permitted detours, detours or local roads to redirect you to it. However, if they are not available, he will gently ask you to perform a forbidden semi-circular turn first. However, when you desperately ignore this final call, the system quickly suggests a new path.

In Germany, where the communication of radio stations with road monitoring services and other similar information services is very well regulated, another aspect of the navigation system has emerged. On the basis of a traffic jam notice on the section of the highway that was part of the selected route, in order to avoid congestion, he calculated and proposed a detour completely independently. Slovenia not yet), I can only bow to him. as a sign of respect and superiority.

The test A6 2.0 TDI was also complemented by the S line equipment package, which includes, among other things, a stiffer sports suspension that lowers the entire car by 20 millimeters, low-cut shoes and excellent sports seats up front. While I can praise the latter because they are ergonomically well designed and provide the driver and front passenger with excellent lateral support when cornering, I can confidently say about the sports chassis that I definitely will not miss it on the indicated route.

The increased stiffness of the suspension is more of a concern because of the more shaking of the vehicle on rough and potholed roads than the subtle improvement in cornering performance. It is also important to take into account the fact that the A6 already has very good position and handling with standard suspension adjustments, forcing the heavy nose out of the corner to reach the physical limits of the chassis, which is typical of all Audi. and tighter suspension adjustments.

The Audi A6 2.0 TDI is also accompanied by very good soundproofing in the cabin, excellent overall ergonomics, good space in all seats, a spacious boot and a good MMI system that allows you to control the radio, air conditioning, navigation system and telephone.

Despite everything described in the car, which on paper costs more than 12 million tolar, I missed the xenon headlights, heated (at least) front seats and the acoustic system that helps park the front and rear. He had everything else as a test piece, but that would also come with a hefty price tag. Yes, luxury and excellence are still highly valued.

evaluation

  • The navigation system is expensive but excellent. A comfortable ride is hampered only by an insufficiently comfortable sports chassis. One flaw crept into a great car. If we want to use all the available volume of the fuel tank, extremely slow filling of the last 20 liters of fuel is simply unacceptable.
