Last year, the Audi A6 allroad quattro celebrated its 20th anniversary. In its very debut on the global automotive arena, this model managed to impress the public and professionals.

Then the category of SUVs was only gaining popularity, and station wagons with increased ground clearance and serial air suspension were not considered for the most part.

Another important fact should not be overlooked - over the years, this car has established itself as one of the Audi products, which in the most striking and revealing way embodies the main elements of the brand's philosophy.

Twenty years later, the Ingolstadt brand is launching an entirely new generation of the A6 allroad quattro - and just like since the debut of the first generation in 1999, it literally embodies almost all the technical arsenal the company has at its disposal.

And this arsenal is well known to be one of the most impressive in the industry at all. Two decades ago, no one would have predicted the popularity of a station wagon with SUV behavior.

Today, the crossover is available in literally all classes. And perhaps for this very reason it is even more interesting to appreciate, in fact, the fact that even now, the concept of a luxury family station wagon with a large, adjustable ground clearance looks just as relevant and even fun as it did then.

Solid technological base

To begin with, this is a new edition of the model, based on the current A6 Avant, which itself is one of the most iconic luxury models, the oldest and peculiar hallmark of Audi. All its well-known qualities of the allroad quattro have been redesigned.

In the cabin, the position of the seats has been significantly changed, and the air suspension with adjustable clearance allows you to drive where an ordinary station wagon will sit. Under the hood is a powerful and efficient three-liter V6 diesel engine.

It is available in 45 TDI, 50 TDI, 55 TDI versions and has 231, 286 and 349 hp. All three are mild hybrids with a 48-volt platform and a standard eight-speed automatic transmission. Permanent four-wheel drive system with self-locking main differential.

Delightful design

When viewed from the outside, a person immediately notices: the car received wheels with a special design and many beautiful body elements that emphasize the increased suspension height and a more unique overall character of the car.

The car has additional protection for the bottom of the body and boasts an individual design of the Singleframe radiator grille. All these additions fit perfectly into the exquisite style for a length of almost five meters, giving him an additional dose of self-confidence.
