The Audi Q3 is a good SUV for everyday use: maneuverable, quite spacious and economical. Audi quality is always top notch, even if the interior is a little dated. On the other hand, the list price of the Sport version is interesting, but the customization is sparse, and with the "essential" options, the price goes up a lot.

The Audi Q3 has just undergone a facelift, although given its young age I would say more about tuning. In fact, the exterior has not been distorted, but updated and modernized with a new silver trapezoidal mask (Q7 style) and new headlights with arrowheads that light up in sequence.

It is a SUV quite compact, a feeling that's borne out when you board. It doesListen Q3 also practiced in the urban jungle. Indeed, our front-wheel-drive 2.0 TDI finds its way around the city and on medium-distance travel.

Interior space and boot are in line with competitors in their segment, while tall seats and large windows allow you to see all the corners of the car.

Good consumption 2.0 TDI: The house claims 4,6 l / 100 km on the combined cycle.

city

TheListen Q3At 439 cm long and 183 cm wide, this is a fairly compact SUV, which is a good advantage when looking for parking or in traffic jams. The overview is also helpful, while the optional parking assist does the rest. The 2.0 TDI is resilient and not thirsty (in the urban cycle, houses claim 5,3 l / 100 km), and the gearbox, clutch and steering are not quite light, but not so heavy as to cause burns in the calves and hands.

Our machine is equipped with S-Line kit, which also provides a special bottom and rigid structure. Thus, Q3 is much more reactive and leaves less room to throw; but on irregularities and pits it is also slightly less gentle.

Outside the city

If the sports package lacks potholes and sewers, then on roads with curves, this is a good advantage. L 'Listen Q3 in fact it turns out to be quite agile and provides good traction with happy driving, the only pity is that the reduced and "pain relieved" steering does not engage properly, as well as a chassis that is completely neutral and unwilling to let you play. Close brackets "fun", Q3 provides excellent driving pleasure. IN Manual Transmission six-speed - dry and accurate, and the engine 2.0 TDI and 150 hp and 340 Nm of torque is springy and has good progress – although at 3.400 rpm it is breathtaking. The engine, however, felt "just right" to us, delivering just the right amount without making you want more, stopping consumption at 4,6L/100km on the combined cycle.

шосе

Long travels? No problem. SoundproofingListen Q3 it's very neat, and the large gear ratios (in sixth place at 130 km/h and just over 2.000 rpm) help reduce fuel consumption. The Q3 is a low and compact SUV, so air friction becomes secondary. Good seat for those in front; the back is also convenient, but for the hair.

Life on board

Behind the wheel Q3 you are immersed in the usual quality Audi. The materials are beautiful to look at and feel, and the feeling of solidity and assembly precision is complete. But this, as you know, is the strength of the Germans Zuffenhausen. Unfortunately, the interior design of the new Audi A3, A4, TT and Q7 they make the Q3's thin and thick steering wheel and analog gauges look a little dated and the overall design a little dull. Even the foldable (portable) nav screen looks a little toyy, but it's all down to personal taste.

Lo space on board, it can accommodate four adults, and the 460-liter trunk, which opens electrically, is spacious but has a high threshold for access.

Price and costs

TheListen Q3 it is a practical and comfortable car, but it is also a premium car and status symboland you pay for it. The list price of the Sport version is 34.400 euros - not much considering that an A3 with the same engine and tuning costs about 2.000 euros less - but there are many necessary accessories, and if you want to take home an equipped car "Right" you will have to spend more than 40.000 2.0 euros. On the other hand, the fuel consumption of the 16 TDI was excellent: with a little care, we managed to achieve an average of 18 km / l, but with more "green" driving, you can also reach 19/XNUMX without much effort. a lot of effort.
