Audi Q8 can take on iconic SUVs

Audi aims to take over the world. Well, the world of luxury cars is not the real world. They don't like it when you joke. Audi has very high sales targets and needs almost every car in its lineup to sell and sell well.
There are a few cars to be sold... that haven't even arrived yet. An example is the often rumored Audi Q8, a full-size SUV aimed at serious competition.
According to Autocar, Audi is preparing the Q8 to become a fairly legendary SUV name. We are talking about Land Rover. More precisely, the Range Rover Sport.
The story goes that Audi will essentially build the body of an A8 sedan and put it on an upgraded version of the MLB platform. If the Q8 does see the light of day, it won't be a surprise to see a potential flagship-class SUV on the automaker's current favorite platform.
However, just as Bentley and Lamborghini were set to unveil their SUVs at dealerships across the country club, it wouldn't surprise anyone if the idea of the Audi Q8 also faded into the air.
If Audi wants to achieve the lofty sales targets the company has set for itself, perhaps a halo-like SUV isn't the way to go. Of course, we still want Audi to release the R8 V12 TDI, so stay tuned for the Q8.
