Avtovaz will produce a new Datsun

This has not happened until recently, but now it has become known that the new Datsun - a car of the Japanese brand, which belongs to the Nissan concern, will be produced on the AvtoVAZ conveyor. Perhaps this particular model will replace not only new domestic cars, but will also be able to become a competitor to many used foreign cars.

Little is known about the technical data of the novelty, but officials said that the power unit will be installed with a capacity of 87 horsepower with 1,6 liters of volume. If we compare Datsun with models of domestic production, such as Granta or Kalina, then approximately on it there will be a similar engine 21116 with a lightweight piston group.

Concerning prices for new Datsun, then nothing is known for sure, and more or less approximate prices will be known only before the start of sales. But there is an opinion that the threshold of the minimum configuration will start at 400 rubles. In principle, a rather small backlog, since even our VAZs start from 000 in the minimum salary.

But in terms of roominess, Datsun will be a clear competitor to Lade Grant, since the trunk will be the largest in its class. For example, on Grant it is 520 liters, and Datsun already contains 530 liters of volume.

If you look at the interior of the car, then many will recognize it as our Granta, and this is not surprising, since the car is built on its platform.

And if you look closely at the appearance of Datsun, you can see that the features of the receiver are seen quite well:

In general, we can say that this will turn out to be a slightly modified Lada Granta, since the engine will most likely be domestic 21116, and maybe even 21114, the appearance of the body and interior are very close, and the chassis will most likely be based on Kalina. So what is new in its essence, unfortunately we will not be able to see anything, although we will not get ahead of ourselves and still wait for the official premiere and start of sales.
