The developments of British Petroleum were taken as the basis, which take into account the main trends in modern automotive fuel - environmental friendliness and the preservation (or even increase) of the efficiency of the car engine. So far, Rosneft is fighting for the minds of its adherents in a very limited way, since Pulsar-92 and Pulsar-95 are produced at only one enterprise, and logistics is also becoming more complicated.
Before entering the profile market, Pulsar fuel passed test tests both in Russia and abroad, in Germany. The performance indicators of Pulsar gasolines were studied on European (Mersedes), Asian (Hyundai) and domestic (VAZ) vehicles.

- The content of CO in the exhaust gases also decreases (a quantitative indicator is not indicated in the report; apparently, the results obtained were highly dependent on the brand and characteristics of the engine).
The environmental advantages of Pulsar were also manifested in the fact that, along with carbon monoxide, the amount of benzene and sulfur vapors emitted into the atmosphere also decreases (which, by the way, was not noted in the reports on similar tests that were carried out on Ecto and G-Drive gasoline) .
According to opinion polls, about a third of car owners prefer Pulsar fuels. In this case, Rosneft separately indicates that these brands of gasoline can be safely purchased not only at branded gas stations, but also at gas station networks that are affiliated with the manufacturer's structures. This is a definite plus.
Reviews of car owners are not so categorical. Yes, some increase in power is felt, but mostly on used cars. As for efficiency, according to users, everything remained at the same level. Unlike, for example, G-Drive fuel. Some drivers saw the benefit of the Pulsar in another way - with regular refueling with such fuel, additional points are awarded to the existing bonus card. But this is rather a payment for loyalty to the chosen brand than an encouragement for the engine of a particular car.
How is Pulsar different from regular gasoline? Advantages and disadvantages
Additives to Pulsars have already been noted. What exactly is their action?
- Cleaning carbon deposits on the surfaces of moving parts of an automobile engine. A thorough check is possible only after a significant mileage of the car (several tens of thousands of kilometers, and no less).
- Perception by the car of new gasoline for it. On many brands, this does not happen immediately, but only after the engine has used up from 30 to 50 liters of gasoline. The impatient will immediately note that Pulsar-92 or Pulsar-95 is no better than other popular brands of automotive fuel. In fact, it takes time to adequately assess.
- Does the engine need constant cleaning? Experts say no. Periodically, the engine must also run on “regular” gasoline, otherwise aggressive components (which are found in any additives) will begin to corrode the metal of the surface of the parts.
- Among the disadvantages of Pulsar gasoline, it was noticed that in cold weather a car filled with it warms up longer. The reason may be an unfavorable change in the heat capacity of the fuel containing such additives.
The result of the analytical review of reviews on Pulsar gasolines was exhaustively summed up by the specialists of the Main Road program. After analyzing the results of all test tests, they came to the conclusion that Pulsar can and should be improved, because in many respects they still do not reach the level of fuels from Lukoil or Gazprom Neft.
