BEV - what does it mean? [ANSWER]

What does BEV mean? Is BEV an ordinary electric vehicle or maybe some kind of it? What is BEV?

A BEV is an electric vehicle ("EV") that only uses a battery ("B") as its power source. Such an electric vehicle is, for example, the Nissan Leaf or the Tesla Model S. Currently, there is no other Toyota brand such as a car in Poland, because all available Toyota vehicles have internal combustion engines.

A battery-powered vehicle can be charged from a wall outlet or from photovoltaic panels. However, the current efficiency of photovoltaic panels reduces the possibility of using them exclusively, without other energy sources: Sion - Sono Motors electric car powered by solar panels.
