Бимота DB6 Delirium

But this time, instead of drugs or illusions, Bimoto DB6 is Delirio. Are you ready for a dose of something completely new and special?

You better be, otherwise what I write will seem meaningless to you. This bimota is also made by a boutique. If the price of four and a half million tolar, or 18.900 euros, is absolutely unattainable and absurd because you get a very good car for the money (right?), Then you are really not a likely buyer of this motorcycle. But if you dress in the latest fashion from Paris and Milan, and are also an avid fan of motorcycles and technology, then DB6 Delirio is still in the game.

In a nutshell, I would introduce Bimoto (although you've probably heard of this name because it has been on the scene since the XNUMXs) as a brand from Rimini that has experienced ups and downs. They always rely on "crazy" and, to put it mildly, revolutionary technical innovations. It was they who showed the motorcycle, in which, instead of the classic telescopic fork, the front wheel is mounted on a single swinging arm. Traditionally, they only produce sports bikes with two-cylinder Ducati L engines, and their products are always very expensive. Therefore, motorcycle jewelry is still the most appropriate term. But if they only make sports bikes, then what is Delirio?

Simply put, the Delirio is a response to a market that is increasingly focused on stripped-down roadsters. So he's a purebred athlete without aerodynamic armor.

In this way, it demonstrates its connection to the DB5 Mille (1.000cc superbike) in all parts of the motorcycle. Chromoly steel tubes have been crossed with milled aluminum to create a hybrid frame and swingarm that provides much needed flexibility (steel tubes and mesh construction) and stiffness (aluminum). Anyone with even a little knowledge of mechanical engineering knows that in order for such a structure to perform its task well, it takes many hours at the computer, where the loads during sports driving are simulated, but we must not forget about the mass, which should be as large as possible. that little one. This for the entire motorcycle without liquids does not exceed 170 kilograms. Beware, we are talking about a purebred 1.000 cc motorcycle. Cm!

As soon as I sat on this Bimoto, it became clear to me that comfort is its weakest point. Everything is subject to sportsmanship. I settled into a racing high and hard seat with my 180-inch hair. If he was taller, he would already be in trouble. The ergonomics are designed in such a way that they are best suited to riders of medium and small stature.

But that's only when we're talking about sitting. The handlebars are flat and wide, like a supermot, so the bull holds the horns well. So the environment quickly became my home and in general reminded me a lot of a supermoto. And Delirio drives that way too. I have never experienced such power, torque and sportiness from a Ducati twin-cylinder 992cc air-cooled twin valve per cylinder engine.

Compared to the Ducati Monster, it's a ferocious beast that announces its character with the sound of a pair of mufflers placed under the seat (otherwise beautiful, but unfortunately rather warm in the buttocks while waiting at traffic lights). Because the Bimota is such an adrenaline-pumping toy that obeys the slightest tug, because like a surgical knife it cuts right into a curve, and because the Brembo radial four-position brakes bring it to an instant stop on command, I felt like I was sitting on an above-average supermoto bike. Playing on the back and front wheels, drifting on the turn - he can do everything with ease.

Even a visit to the racetrack would not be a wrong idea, Delirio would probably combine the time very quickly.

Of course, the question arises whether this can be done at all on such an expensive motorcycle. As for whom, it's good to know what the stallion below you is capable of, isn't it? Otherwise, I think it's wiser to walk along the embankment in a leather jacket, jeans and an open jet helmet. Only in this way can it quickly happen that you will no longer be traveling alone, but with a passenger.
