The BMW HP4 is a sports bike model that has such decent data that even an experienced motorcycle racer will be pleasantly surprised by the motorcycle. Designed specifically for track racing, this bike is an improved version of the BMW HP2. The model is equipped with a BMW S1000RR engine. This is an in-line 16-valve four, developing 190 horsepower (at 13 thousand rpm).

This is the first sports bike to feature DDC, which adapts the suspension to the road surface. The electronics detect which road the bike is traveling on and adjusts the damping accordingly. Also, the motorcycle is equipped with a launch control system, which stabilizes the bike during a sharp start, and also allows it to accelerate as quickly as possible without lifting the front wheel off the ground, regardless of the position of the throttle stick.
