BMW Motorrad Concept Link, future mobility on two wheels - motorcycle preview

Surprising everyone with the 8 Series Concept, BMW is showing another prototype at the Concorso d'Eleganza in Villa d'Este, this time with two wheels. Called Link to BMW Motorrad Concept, is inspired by the Vision Next 100 concept and reflects the vision of the Bavarian brand for zero-emission urban mobility on two wheels.

Urban mobility of the future with zero emissions

Concepts urban mobility and digital communication combine with a futuristic design of angular lines and play of light. The low, elongated body and flat saddle together with the rising forefoot create a modern yet distinctive silhouette.

Still further accentuated by the use of colors: front finishes in the same color Liquid Metal Titanium contrasts with the rest of the body in semi-matt black. The colors are oriented diagonally to highlight the dynamic potential of the BMW Motorrad Concept Link.

The saddle is low, the gearbox also has a reverse function, and in the center there is a luggage compartment with good carrying capacity.

BMW Motorrad Concept Link interprets the link between driver, vehicle and the environment in urban settings. It allows the driver to stay connected while driving, expanding his virtual mobile world and opening up new possibilities. In addition, the vehicle already knows the rider's travel schedule and therefore his next destinations.

Absolute connection

There is no classic dashboard, replaced by a large one display digital technology that combines technology similar to head-up displays in automobiles.

On board the BMW Motorrad Link, driver's equipment is also attached to the vehicle... To emphasize this connection, a gesture on the jacket sleeve opens and closes the sliding tailgate. The stitching on the sleeve marks the active zone.

Biker clothing is also fashionable and deliberately not recognized as a specific piece of clothing. The jacket is made of water-repellent material and integrated light protectors on the elbows and shoulders. However, they are not visible in the modern style of clothing.
