Bridgestone is investing more than ever in its growing portfolio of premium commercial tires and digital mobility solutions to help fleets meet their challenges.

Bridgestone is introducing two new tires in the Truck & Bus segment: the Duravis R002 and COACH-AP 001, in addition to the recently launched Ecopia H002. These tires are designed to reduce overall fleet management costs while providing the highest levels of safety, efficiency and comfort.

Bridgestone Expands Its Portfolio With Next Generation Mobility Solutions

Population growth, urbanization and the rise of e-commerce place enormous demands on the transport of people and goods; climate change and regulatory requirements make reducing CO2 emissions a priority; The growing impact of CASE mobility (connected, autonomous, shared, electric) is forcing the industry to rethink its nature. The fleets are facing their biggest challenge more than ever.

To help its customers (fleet owners) succeed, Bridgestone is also transforming. Over the past few years, the company has invested heavily in its digital capabilities and introduced a range of digital solutions and applications, such as Total Tire Care and FleetPulse, to support fleets with maximum efficiency, convenience and data-driven insight.

Total Tire Care is Bridgestone's complete tire management solution that uses state-of-the-art tire monitoring, maintenance and management technologies and systems to provide optimal safety and reduce tire maintenance costs. Customers can choose from packages that include Toolbox Tire Monitoring, Fleetbridge Tire Ownership and Management, Carcass Management or Tirematics Tire Pressure Monitoring and Preventive Maintenance. And because every fleet is unique, all Bridgestone tire management solutions can be tailored to your individual needs.

FleetPulse is Bridgestone's digital solution that provides fleet managers with real-time information on vehicle health, reducing maintenance costs, increasing travel time and simplifying fleet operations. FleetPulse also comes with a built-in hardware tire pressure monitoring system that ensures optimal tire pressure and thus helps fleets avoid unwanted tire costs and reduce CO2 emissions.

The recent acquisition of TomTom Telematics, the largest provider of digital fleet solutions in Europe and the third largest in the world, complements the offerings for fleet owners and managers. WEBFLEET, TomTom Telematics' fleet management solution, supports business with real-time vehicle location information, driver behavior information, fuel consumption data and connectivity.

Stephen de Bock, director of sales and operations for commercial products for Bridgestone EMEA, said: “Fleets today face bigger challenges than ever before. They are a priority for us and therefore we invest huge resources to be the partners they need at the moment. Our state of the art solutions and products are designed to maximize productivity and minimize overall management costs.

“While we are definitely moving from a premium tire manufacturer to a leader in mobility solutions, that doesn't mean we are neglecting our core tire business. High-tech tires are just as important to solving the problems faced by car fleets; This is why replenishing the premium tire range is a key priority for Bridgestone and why the company is stepping into the future of mobility. ”

New premium tires for maximum efficiency

Three new Bridgestone products in the truck and bus segment, Duravis R002, COACH-AP 001 and Ecopia H002, have been developed, tested and built in Europe in collaboration with customer fleets. Duravis R002 offers an extremely reduced wear period, which greatly reduces fleet operating costs. Bridgestone's first bus segment, the COACH-AP 001, offers efficiency and comfort without sacrificing safety. And the recently launched Ecopia H002 is an economical tire designed to help fleets reduce operating costs and CO2 emissions in the long term. All three tires are fully compliant with strict EU legislation, especially regarding CO2 emissions and noise levels.

The three new tires will be tracked using an electronic RFID (radio frequency identification) tagging system, which will add value to customers who want to benefit from connectivity and predictable road maintenance.
