Founded by a former Tesla engineer, startup Srivaru Motors will unveil its first electric motorcycle in the coming months.

While Elon Musk has made it clear that he doesn't want to offer a Tesla electric motorcycle, that doesn't stop former employees from going on an adventure. Mohanraj Ramaswami of Indian descent spent 20 years in Silicon Valley, where he worked for the Palo Alto brand, among others. Back home, this engineer decided to launch Srivaru Motors, a startup specializing in electric motorcycles.

Founded in 2018, Srivaru has yet to unveil any models, but is already showing a calendar on its website that plans to enter the market this year.

The manufacturer's first model, called the Prana, claims torque of up to 35 Nm, accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (96 km / h) in less than 4 seconds and a top speed of almost 100 km / h. the flight range can reach almost 100 kilometers on the high-end version.

Srivaru Prana is expected to open in the next few months. In terms of production, the brand announces a capacity of 30.000 units during its first year of operation. Strong ambition stemming from recent statements by Indian authorities. A few weeks ago, the latter announced that they want to impose electricity on the segment of two- and three-wheeled vehicles.
