CB radio has already experienced two heydays on our roads. The first happened in the early 27s, when the civilian band XNUMX MHz was "liberated" from restrictions. Although the radiotelephone still had to be registered with the appropriate institution and the associated fees paid, few did so. There was a real “free American” in the air and technology.
Interest in this type of communication gradually declined until mid-2004. There were several reasons - one of them was the fear of roadside checks, checking whether we have a registered radiotelephone and whether we pay tolls. Whether the services were able to do this or not is a moot point, but the fact is that sales of new devices have been falling. Another problem that has remained to this day is the culture of conversation. Unfortunately it is not high and by taking the family on vacation our children can learn a new language with CB included. By no means a stranger. This problem is at least partially solved by the new Midland radios, but more on that later. The third factor was the development of mobile telephony. The Renaissance
CB-radio experienced its renaissance and second youth in 2004, when they finally abandoned the illusions about the registration of radiotelephones and allowed the use of equipment subject to its legalization by the manufacturer or distributor. The civic group became fully civic. Cars with extended antennas began to appear on the roads again. Interestingly, in addition to truck drivers, they were also widely used by company car drivers, fearing for the state of their wallet.
