Price and replacement of a knock sensor on a VAZ 2110

The knock sensor is on all VAZ 2110 injection engines. It is located on the cylinder block from the front.

Designed to determine the level of engine knock and send a signal to the controller. If you fill your car, for example, with AI-80 gasoline, you may not even feel the difference in engine operation. This is because thanks to this sensor, the ECU automatically adjusts the ignition timing to avoid knocking.

The price of a new sensor for a VAZ 2110 is about 200 rubles in many spare parts stores. To replace it, you only need one key for 13.

We unscrew the knock sensor mounting bolt, as shown in the photo below:

When it is unscrewed, you can proceed to disconnect the plug of the power wires. To do this, press on the bracket, which is a latch, and pull the plug to the side:

Replacement is carried out in the reverse order. And one more thing, before carrying out any operation with electrical equipment, it is necessary to disconnect the battery. To do this, just remove the “minus” terminal from the battery.
