Price Crisis! The 2022 Mazda 2, 3, CX-6, CX-3, CX-30 and MX-9 join other models caught up in the recent wave of price increases.
The small CX-30 SUV is one of several Mazda models that have become more expensive.
Add Mazda to the list of brands that have recently raised prices on most of their models sold in Australia.
Yes, the Mazda2 passenger car, Mazda3 subcompact car, Mazda6 midsize car, CX-3 light SUV, CX-30 small SUV, CX-9 large SUV, MX-5 sports car, and BT-50 ute (see separate article) were all involved in the latest round of price increases.
With the exception of the entry-level Pure class, the Mazda2, Mazda3 and CX-30 now cost $100 more across the entire lineup (see full pricing tables below).
Meanwhile, the three cheapest Mazda6 variants jumped $300, while the other five went up $400.
Only the entry-level Neo Sport and Maxx Sport CX-3 models escaped the adjustment, with the rest of its line up $100.
Similarly, the CX-9 Sport's entry-level is unchanged, but the rest of its range is $100 more expensive, except for the flagship versions of the Azami AWD, which have been increased by $130 instead.
The recently updated MX-5 is $100 more expensive in its lineup.
This was announced by a representative of Mazda in Australia. Cars Guide no changes were made to the standard equipment of the affected models.
“Market changes, raw material and production costs, currency fluctuations and other factors can affect pricing. Mazda raised prices slightly on some models in January to reflect these changes,” they said.
It should be noted that the CX-5 midsize SUV and CX-8 large SUV were updated last month, while the MX-30 small SUV is the only model to remain unchanged in 2022.
