Any driver will agree that being in a clean and fresh cabin is much more pleasant than in a dirty one. No matter how hard we try to keep the interior clean, sooner or later stains appear on the seat upholstery, sometimes even burnt marks from cigarettes.

Smoking in the cabin is not the best habit, because the smell lasts for a long time, and yellow spots can appear on the ceiling over time. Small children also leave behind a lot of rubbish and crumbs.

The question arises - what is the best way to give the salon its original look?

Steam cleaning the interior is a very effective way to get rid of both dirt and unpleasant odors. In addition, hot steam kills all germs and bacteria, so it is also a very good disinfectant.

This cleaning has other advantages:

• it doesn't take long;
• only steam is used as the main cleaning agent and no other chemicals that can cause allergies or negatively affect the upholstery;
• no need to wait until the interior is dry, because very hot steam is used, which does not condense, but dries quickly;
• steam penetrates into the most inaccessible places where it is impossible to reach with a vacuum cleaner or a sponge.

You can carry out such cleaning both independently and at the sink. In the latter case, the car wash workers will do everything efficiently and quickly, although they may miss something. If you have a vacuum cleaner with a steam generator, then you can cope with this work at home, carefully going over all the surfaces in the cabin.

How to dry-clean the interior with steam?

Before proceeding with cleaning, it is recommended to wash the car from the outside, so as not to accidentally bring pollution from the street.

Then you need to remove all large debris in the cabin, for this you can use an ordinary or special car vacuum cleaner.

When the dirt, sand, crumbs are removed, you need to steam all the fabric surfaces - pour over them with a stream of steam from a vacuum cleaner. Steam easily penetrates the structure of the fabric and simply blows out all the smallest impurities, and dissolves them. This procedure must be repeated several times until the complete disappearance of contaminants.

If you are sure that no one in your family is allergic to chemicals, then you can cover all treated surfaces with shampoo, which will give a rich lather. This agent must be left on the upholstery for some time so that its active substances dissolve all particles of dirt and dust.

After a few minutes, this foam can be removed with a vacuum cleaner, and then re-walk with the steam generator, choosing the most powerful mode. Hot dry steam will not damage leather or plastic surfaces. It is especially effective when cleaning fleecy fabrics, since it is in them that the most small debris accumulates.

If cleaning is carried out at the sink, then after steaming the seats, special heated covers are put on them so that the material dries faster.

Steam can also be used to clean wooden elements, floors and rugs. In parallel with the dry cleaning of the interior, they wipe the windows from the inside, clean the instrument panel and the front dashboard using special detergents. A good wash never uses universal cleaners, because they can negatively affect the condition of the leather interior - the leather dries out, cracks may appear in it.

An important step in steam cleaning is blowing out the ventilation holes, in which all the dust from the street settles and microorganisms that cause allergic reactions can develop over time. Trunk cleaning is also very important, especially if you have a hatchback, station wagon or crossover.

At the final stage, ozonation of the cabin is carried out. Ozone very effectively fights against all unpleasant odors, in addition, it penetrates deep into the structure of various tissues. Ozone will give the interior a special freshness.

If you do the cleaning yourself, then just blow all the difficult inaccessible places, vents with steam, and then turn on the stove to dry the interior faster. You can also leave your car outside with the doors open.

It should be noted that not only the interior is cleaned with steam, but also car rims, which are not always easy to clean manually.
