Why is frosting used? | ||
| Glaze is used as a way to increase oil retention on brushed or polished surfaces. This is important for machine parts to stay lubricated and move smoothly rather than jerkily. Without icing, the oil will leak out, leaving only two metal surfaces in contact with each other, which can cause the machine to seize. | |
