What are full thread screws?
A full thread screw does not have a smooth shank. Threads run along the entire length of his body.
Fully threaded screws are used when two pieces of material need to be joined together but a very tight fit is required. Unlike a partially threaded screw, when driving a fully threaded screw, the top material cannot move along the shaft; instead, it is held in place by threads. This can sometimes cause the base material to move away from the top material.
To fix this, you can insert or remove the screw several times to connect the two materials, or you can drill a through hole. |
