Oil pressure sensor Mitsubishi Lancer 9

Oil pressure sensor Mitsubishi Lancer 9

The oil pressure sensor is designed to monitor the oil level in the engine. In the event that the oil level in the engine drops to a critical level, the sensor is triggered, as a result of which a red indicator in the form of an oiler lights up on the dashboard. It tells the driver what to check and, if necessary, add oil.

Diagnostics DDM Lancer 9

After removing the sensor, you need to make sure that the problem is really with it. This will require a multimeter.

We put the multimeter in the test position and check if there is a contact on the sensor. If there is no contact, then the reason is in it.

Using a compressor or pump, we check the pressure of the sensor. We connect the pump with a monometer, create pressure on the sensor and look at the indicators. The minimum pressure in the system must be at least 0,8 kg / cm2, and as the pump operates, it must increase. If this does not happen, the sensor is defective.
