Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following points ...

PROCESS
1. Clean the contact surfaces of the knock sensor and cylinder block. Use only standard bolts and washers to mount the knock sensor.
2. Carefully install the knock sensor on the cylinder block and secure with a bolt, tightening to the required torque.
3. Place the knock sensor harness between the tabs on the intake manifold. Disconnect the excess wire from the electrical connector.
4. Insert the knock sensor electrical connector into the connector block.
5. Position the nozzle spring clips so that they do not interfere with the latch of the connecting collars. Make sure that there is good contact between the connecting strip and the nozzle.
6. Lock the connector straps until you hear a click.
7. Check up a condition of sleeves and reliability of their fastening on collars.
