The question is, what the hell? Recently I polished the headlights and put the beam on a plane in a car service on a special stand!
It turned out that after restarting the engine, the headlights went out. The Germans thought very well about the safety of the driver, not only the car, but also other road users.
The algorithm is simple: as soon as the sensor readings are incorrect or an error occurs in one of the sensors, the control system lowers the headlights in order to prevent the approaching driver from “blinding”.
This system is good, but I do not see what is happening on the road - the headlights shine 5 meters ahead, and not 60 or more, as they should be.
I checked with the diagnostic cable for errors and it happened.
Front body position sensor.
My car has 2 sensors, front and rear.
They are identical and can be seen on the diagram at numbers 6 and 17.
The number of the body position sensor is VAG 4B0 907 503, with the sensor you need to order mounting screws VAG N 104 343 01 - they stuck with me and had to be drilled (in the diagram at number 11).
Drilled at an angle, the damper interfered =)
The sensor has taken over all known sites.
The original VAG decided to bypass it, they asked for 4500 r for it and took the VEMO brand number B10-72-0807 at the price of 2016, it turned out 2863 r and 54 r for two mounting screws.
The new sensor is the original box, the upper part is painted over with some trifle ...
After installing the headlamp sensor, it must be adapted!

In short, everything is simple. Hold on to the diagnostic cable and:
1. Go to section 55 "headlights", delete existing errors
2. Then go to section 04 "Basic settings"
3. Select block 001 and press the "execute" button and wait for the end of the headlight adjustment procedure.
4. Next, go to block 002, press the "execute" button and the position of the headlights is remembered.

If it is not possible to buy a sensor, but you really want to travel in comfort, then there is a complicated way:
By connecting the diagnostic cable to the headlight adaptation section, you can do the following: adapt the headlights and the headlights will be placed in the correct position. But when you turn off and then turn on the ignition, the headlight control unit will find an error and lower the headlights again. So the solution is this: with the ignition on, adjust the headlights and, without removing the ignition, disconnect the electrical connectors from the headlight corrector motors (in the diagram below, connector No. 16, motor No. 3)
Then close the headlight, disconnect the diagnostic cable. The next time you turn the car on / off, an error will appear in the headlight corrector, but since the engine is off, the headlights will remain in the position in which they were and will not go anywhere.

First, look at the level sensor you just removed: it shows dirt, which indicates that the connector is loose. And this led to the fact that moisture seeped through the vent into the sensor housing. Initial inspection and identification of the cause of the malfunction
After removing the cover, the plates and the connector of the connector were exposed. Due to the complex shape of the pins, which fit into the corresponding holes on the board, electrical contact is ensured.
After that, you need to remove the board. It can be seen that dark traces appeared in the "wells" from the contact of the pins with the metallized holes, which indicates the oxidation of the metal due to moisture.
After examining the contact holes under a microscope, the cause of the malfunction was found - microcracks formed near dark spots in the metallization of the “wells”. This resulted in a broken electrical connection between the two sides of the board.
Once a problem is identified, it must be fixed. To do this, it is enough to make sure that the connector pins have reliable electrical contact with both sides of the printed circuit board.
Troubleshooting
On the reverse side of the board, where the microcontroller is located, it is necessary to tin a seal around the pin holes (apply solder to the seal), preventing solder from entering the hole. When installed, this will ensure a good connection to the underside of the connector pin.
Gently squeeze the pins of the connector with needle nose pliers or a similar tool into a cylindrical shape. This must be done so that during assembly the pin does not break off with a “hole” narrowed by welding.
Now you need to tin the contacts and snap the board into place. Each pin must fit into the corresponding hole freely and without force.
Next, you need to properly solder the pins, then clean everything from the flux and glue the housing cover in place.
When installing the suspension level sensor in the car, do not forget to fill the connector with lithium grease for better tightness.
