Tire pressure. What do drivers know about driving it?

Tire pressure. What do drivers know about driving it? 80% of drivers surveyed know how to get information about the correct tire pressure, but 58% of them rarely check their tires, according to a study conducted by Moto Data.

Tire pressure. What do drivers know about driving it?Only 42% of drivers regularly (at least once a month) check tire pressure. This is the minimum frequency of checks that reduces the risk of driving with inadequate pressure, and at the same time improves road safety.

“Insufficient pressure reduces traction and increases the stopping distance of the car. In addition, the tires are subjected to uneven wear, overheating and breakage, resulting in a sharp reduction in their service life. An under-inflated tire also has higher rolling resistance, resulting in higher fuel consumption. Unfortunately, only 42% of drivers check their blood pressure once a month. Regular inspection is critical to eliminate the aforementioned risks and improve driving economy,” says Moto Data’s Tadeusz Kunzi.

Most of the drivers interviewed know where they can get information about the correct tire pressures. Some cars are already equipped with special sensors that alert the driver of any deviations from the expected pressure standards. Please note that there is no single optimal pressure value for all tires of all cars. It is the vehicle manufacturer who determines which pressure is regulated for a given model or engine version. Therefore, the correct pressure values \uXNUMXb\uXNUMXbshould be sought first of all in the vehicle manual.
