TEAM-ECO stands for Trans (transportation of goods and people, urban transport), Eco (ecology, renewable energy, recycling, environmental protection), Auto (modern designs, innovative materials and technologies, electric and hybrid vehicles), Mobil (mobility disabled people, alternative energy sources).
The implementation of strategic research and development projects that result in the introduction and transfer of innovative and modern technologies requires scientific and economic cooperation. Only such cooperation guarantees the optimal use of the scientific and economic potential for the rapid development and scientific and industrial progress in Poland.
In order to maximize the benefits of cooperation between specialized partners, often operating at different levels of the economy, the Institute for Road Transport initiated the creation of a group of companies and institutions whose joint activities will increase the competitiveness of Polish technologies and products, especially in dynamically developing areas - transport, renewable energy or environmental protection.
The purpose of the Center is to integrate the scientific community and economic sector units into the development of modern technologies, especially in the field of transport, as well as to create a platform for cooperation between Partners for the implementation of joint projects, scientific and technical research and development and commercialization of their results.
The Center is open, but its members may be research institutes and business entities operating in accordance with the main activities of the Center. The Center may also include universities and institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences, as well as foreign scientific institutions and commercial enterprises.
Objectives of the Center
• determination of directions and topics of research in the area of interest of the Center,
• acquisition and implementation of research projects financed from international funds,
• cooperation in the implementation of the results of scientific and technical work of the Center,
• support and coordination of the activities of the Partners that are part of the Center,
• building structures and relationships between Partners,
• initiating the creation and use of a large research infrastructure,
• initiating the participation of Partners in international research programs,
• raising funds to finance the activities of the Center,
• collection of information and knowledge about the interests of Partners,
• promotion of Partners by joint preparation of a marketing proposal and participation in exhibitions, symposiums and conferences.
