Children's camping - where to go with children?

Quite a lot of families with small children travel in a camper or trailer. They all agree that the rules in a children's camp are somewhat different than in one where only adults can stay. Let's take a closer look at this issue. What qualities must a campsite have to be safe for children? What should parents pay attention to? What can be done to prevent children from getting bored?

Children's camping - what should it contain?

Let's start with the most important thing: the campsite where you are taking your kids should be guarded, fenced and organized in such a way that adults can clearly see children playing. All attractions for children (swings, slides, sandboxes, trampolines, playhouse, swimming pool, paddling pool) must be clean, well-maintained, well equipped and safe.

Some campsites have an additional indoor play area. This is a good solution in case of bad weather. If your children are under three years old, choose properties with special activities for little ones, such as a separate children's pool for children under three years old.

Many campsites offer special activities and animations for children. Most often these are games or simple sports activities. Are you going to the sea or lake? Look for a campsite as close to the beach as possible with a gentle entrance to the water. When vacationing with children, shallow bodies of water with a sandy beach, always without sharp stones, are ideal. Note whether the campsite is located near an equipment rental facility (or has one). More and more campsites are providing laundry and drying facilities for their guests. A very useful thing when traveling with children.

Fun for kids at the campsite

If the weather is good, you won't be bored at the campsite. Children will enjoy playing outdoors. Many campgrounds have playgrounds or large courts for playing soccer, badminton, or frisbee. There will be a children's playground and a swimming pool with many attractions. If your kids are old enough to ride a bike, it's worth taking them on a trip along with some sightseeing in the area. You might consider an evening bonfire combined with roasting sausages. In case of bad weather, it is worth playing board games or using the time to visit interesting objects on the territory under the roof.

Which European campsite should you choose?

Which Polish campsite should you choose?

In this case, individual needs and predispositions are of great importance. Do you prefer mountains or maybe? Are you planning only a vacation or sightseeing? In the second case, you should choose a campsite closer to tourist attractions. Are you looking for a popular spot or maybe you want to hide off the beaten track? The vast majority of modern Polish campsites do not meet European standards, and some of our domestic campsites have received international awards and distinctions.

In the ranking of the Polish Federation of Camping and Caravanning, the following campsites took first place: “Paida Mazur” in Konno, “Wagabunda” in Mikolajki, “Aleksa” in Chłapowo, “Viking” in Dziwnówek, “Ostoja Stara Basn” in Kosewo. , “Ustronie” in Karpicko, “Caesar” in Mragowo, “Kama” in Tałty, “Camping at the Border” in Mielno, “Baltic” in Kołobrzeg. Many award-winning campsites are located near Leba. These include: “Marine”, “Amber”, “Forest” and “InterCamp’84”.

Is it worth taking children on a hike?

Definitely yes! To summarize, it is worth emphasizing that hiking with children is a great idea for a family vacation. Modern campsites offer many attractions and entertainment for children. They allow you to connect with nature, have fun and regenerate. Don't be afraid to travel with children.

Remember that accommodation for children is cheaper. Most campsites offer lower prices for children under 10 years of age (in some cases up to 12 years of age). Children under 4 years old (and in some cases up to 3 years old) can stay at the campsite for free. Before arriving, you should contact the property to find out about available discounts for families with children.
