Skis on the trunk, winter clothes in suitcases. Have we already taken everything for a trip to the mountains? It is worth thinking in advance about our safety and the requirements that we must meet when entering certain countries in winter.
We hope that all drivers already have winter tires. In recent days, even in the cities it was very slippery, and without winter tires, even the smallest hill was often impossible to drive. Those who are going on a winter holiday in the mountains in the near future should remember about a set of winter chains.
Some drivers remember how painful it was to assemble old and obsolete chains a few years ago. The new ones differ not only in color, but also in ease of use. We will put the new type of chains on the wheels without any problems within 2-3 minutes. Illustrated instructions make it easy to place them correctly, ensuring a safe journey.
We take on a trip only one set, which includes two chains. We install them on the drive wheels on snowy roads. We do not use them on pavement unless permitted by your country's regulations. But even then the maximum speed should not exceed 50 km / h. “If it’s higher, we don’t need chains,” experts joke. On asphalt, chains can fail very quickly. After removing from the wheels, simply rinse the chains in water and dry them. Used properly, they will last us many seasons.

Remember that we only put chains on two wheels. Front-wheel drive vehicles will have the front wheels, while rear-wheel drive vehicles will have the rear wheels. What should owners of all-wheel drive cars do? They have to put chains on the front axle. Remember not to exceed 50 km/h with chains on. When buying chains, we must know the exact tire size of our car. It may happen that due to the small gap between the wheel arch and the tire, you will have to buy a more expensive chain, consisting of links of a smaller diameter. The best way to get chains is not to a supermarket or gas station, but to a specialized store where the seller will advise us which type of chains will be most suitable.
