To what level do you charge Tesla Model 3 at home? Elon Musk: Less than 80 percent doesn't make sense

To what level should you charge Tesla 3 at home? According to Elon Musk, there is no point in staying below 80 percent. According to him, up to 90 percent of them "are still in order." Tesla owners also don't have to worry about dropping their battery to or below.

Researchers at BMZ have tested which duty cycle is most beneficial for Samsung SDI electrical cells. They found that they worked the longest at 70 percent load and 0 percent discharge. In turn, Elon Musk himself recommended an 2014-80 percent cycle in 30.

But times are changing, cell capacity is increasing and batteries are a collection of cells controlled by increasingly intelligent BMS systems. Today, Elon Musk states that Tesla 3 batteries shouldn't have 5 to 90 percent cycle problems (source):

Later in the discussion there was a battery expert thread that we quoted in the link above ("Battery Expert ..."). Elon Musk praised him, but found that an extra 10 percent over the recommended 70 percent was simply more convenient. From this conclusion that with normal home charging, a 10 to 80 percent cycle is optimal for the batteryhowever, don't worry when we drop below 5 percent or reach 90 percent power.

You can also have common sense about this: The vehicle must be charged to a level that allows it to handle all expected and unexpected issues without stress.... After all, we have at least 8 years warranty on the battery ...
